Local Nashville moving company, The Green Truck Moving Company, takes being green to heart. As a company, Green Truck participates in at least two tree planting ceremonies a month at inner city schools in Nashville. On November 25th, the company planted trees with the second graders at Franklin Road Academy.

Franklin Road Academy invited The Green Truck Moving Company to plant trees in the elementary learning garden. Green truck chose fruit trees to help complete the development of the garden with students. They planted four trees including a cherry, peach, apple, and orange tree.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time at FRA,” said Clinton Gray III, Director of Marketing for Green Truck. “We do this in hopes that the kids will find a passion in using their green thumb as they get older.”

At the end of the ceremony, The Green Truck hopes to educate the children on some benefits of trees such as: how trees help fight crime, how trees give us creative ideas, and how trees help eliminate stress. By next spring, it is hoped that the children at FRA will be able to enjoy a healthy snack from the trees that were planted in the learning garden.
